Hi, I'm the founder of Fetch Focus Flourish Dog Training & Mediation, and a passionate advocate for force-free, science-based dog training in Whatcom and Skagit Counties.
Dogs have always been at the heart of my life and learning. I hold a B.S. in Wildlife Sciences from Oregon State University. I am a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP), a graduate of the Aggression in Dogs Mastercourse, and an active member of both the Pet Professionals Guild and the Grisha Stewart Academy.
I share my life with a fantastic pack of five: an Australian Cattle Dog, a Miniature Australian Shepherd, a Border Collie, a Staffordshire Terrier Mix, and a Keeshond. My dogs and I love competing in dog sports, including NASDA, Barn Hunt, Toss & Fetch, and UpDog, which keeps our training joyful and deeply connected. My Keeshond has earned his Canine Good Citizen, Urban, and Community titles, and is a certified Therapy Dog with Pet Partners and Whatcom Therapy Dogs. I’m currently pursuing trick dog titles with my youngest (the Keeshond and the Border Collie), and we’re just beginning our herding journey, too.
My passion lies in helping dog owners build strong communication, trust, and confidence with their dogs, especially when facing challenges like reactivity, aggression, barking, or anxiety. Every dog is unique, and my approach is always personalized and patient, so that you and your dog can relax, enjoy life, and thrive both at home and out in the community.
Whether you’re dreaming of peaceful walks, a calmer household, or even success in dog sports, I’m here to help guide you every step of the way!
"No more stressful walks! Bailey’s reactivity is finally under control!"
"Guests can visit now without Max jumping all over them. The change is amazing!"
"Charlie’s aggression issues are gone. Our home is calm and happy again."
We believe that every dog and person deserves respect, kindness, and understanding. Our positive, evidence-based methods never use fear or punishment, helping your dog learn with confidence and building a lasting bond based on trust.
We’re passionate about empowering dog owners with the knowledge and skills they need for real-life success. By sharing up-to-date, science-backed strategies, we help you feel confident and equipped to support your dog at home and out in the community.
No two dogs, or families, are the same. That’s why every training plan is custom-tailored to your unique needs, goals, and lifestyle. We celebrate individuality and strive for real, lasting transformation that works for you and your dog.
